This study systematically reviews the integration of open innovation and sustainability, focusing on partner selection strategies that support the achievement of Triple Bottom Line (TBL) goals. Using a qualitative systematic literature review approach, the study synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed articles to identify key criteria and mechanisms for selecting innovation partners that enhance economic, environmental, and social performance. The results reveal that effective partner selection is driven by strategic alignment, sustainability commitment, knowledge complementarity, and governance mechanisms that foster trust and transparency. Additionally, the integration of sustainability considerations into open innovation networks strengthens long-term value creation and organizational resilience. The study highlights the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration and dynamic capability development in achieving balanced TBL outcomes. These findings contribute to both theory and practice by providing a structured understanding of how organizations can optimize partner selection to align innovation processes with sustainability objectives.
